As the Diocese focuses on deepening the faith of the faithful , it also focuses on improving the lot of the masses. The Diocese of Aba through their Health Care Facilities support and aid the poor, sick and the under privileged of the diocese by being considerate and charitable enough in offering them medical services, regardless of race, creed or colour.

The Health Care Services are being provided by St. Joseph's Catholic Hospital, Ohabiam, the Mercy Maternity Home, Mbutu-Ngwa and St. Simon Hospital/Maternity, Umuacha. All effort is being made to improve the conditions of these health centres. The Ohabiam Catholic Hospital has now reached advanced stage in setting up a home for Retired Priests- ‘Priests nest’. This indeed is a noble project and is very dear to the Diocese. A Primary Health care project is being vigorously developed at Obohia, Ndoki. The Congregation of Hospital Sisters in Umunkpeyi- Nvosi, is exploring health ventures in the Diocese. It is significant that virtually all of these Schools and Health projects are located largely in rural communities in line with the Bishop's grassroots evangelization thrust.

About Us

logoThe story of Christ the King Cathedral is reminiscent of St. Paul's interpretation of Christian growth, (1 Cor 3: 6 - 7, 10): the one sows, the other waters; the one lays the foundation, all others build on this foundation. The final product is the Body of Christ, exalted, glorious, and holy.
